Our Learning Specialist
Shalom, BJEP! I am excited to be a part of this program and both to continue developing BJEP’s inclusive environment and fostering a place where all students can learn. ALL students should have access to learning and deserve the accommodations and modifications that will help them reach their maximum potential. I look forward to helping BJEP teachers by supporting and implementing universal teaching methods that address the needs of all students.
I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology and Developmental Disabilities from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a Master’s in Education from Bridgewater State College. My experience includes working with children who have both moderate and severe special needs in a variety of academic and recreational activities. Presently, I am a teacher in the Waltham Public Schools at the pre-kindergarten level, where I have been for the past 10 years. Previously, I taught in grades 3-5 in the Boston Public Schools. Some of my fondest memories are as a camper at Camp Grossman, where I also spent a few summers as a camp counselor with campers who had special needs and as the Assistant Special Needs Director.
In my spare time, I love meeting new people and traveling, which I rarely do since I am the mother of three. I enjoy spending time with my husband and children.
Please feel free to email with any questions, concerns or comments at firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to meeting you and working with your children!
